Carrier Pigeon News is an app design that I made for a User Interface Design class at Bradley University. The app’s purpose is to deliver unbiased news to it’s users. It also has an additional function of being able to access links to other news sites that have covered the same story. This allows users to do their own research into a topic if they so choose. I believe this function is what truly allows this app to stay as unbiased as it can be.
During this class we wen through the entire design process including research, prototyping, and design. One topic I learned more about in this class was usability and user testing. Though-out the semester I conducted many user testing sessions, both moderated and virtual, and throughout each phase of the design process. I believe this experience helped me learn how to create a deeper connection to the user, and aided me greatly in finding ways to improve my design.
