FUSE 2024 Exhibition

What is FUSE?

FUSE is an exhibition produced by a group of Bradley University Interactive Media students to display their peers work. This work consists of Animations, UX portfolios and projects, Video games created in the span of a semester as well as ones made over the span of years.

Over the Spring semester all students in the Interactive Media department have the choice to participate in FUSE. How you participate is up to you.

My Role in FUSE

During my Freshman year Spring semester I chose to join FUSE Production; the group responsible for making sure FUSE is an up and running event. Within this team I was on the art team, making me and a small group of other designers in charge of deciding a theme for the event, and creating all necessary assets and merchandise for the exhibit.

And in 2024 the decided theme was: County Carnival!

What I Created

During my semester in FUSE I aided in the creation of many assets including posters, V.I.P invitations, lanyards, social media posts, web assets and much more. On top of this I also got the chance to make a few designs I get to completely call my own. Most of which you can see above and next to this paragraph.

What I Learned

FUSE has been an essential part of my learning experience here at Bradley. Throughout the semester I was able to improve my graphic design skills, and my proficiency with Adobe Creative cloud. On top of this, I also got my first experience with a true production event, and a view of what goes on behind the scenes.

My communication skills were also put to the test during FUSE. Learning  how to navigate the ticketing system Jira while also balancing a Slack, Discord, and keeping up with e-mails. I quickly found out the hard way how easy it is for communication to go haywire. But despite it being chaotic, everything came together in the end. Teaching me that the show WILL go on, but only if you take the time to talk your way through the problems.

Let's work together to make your project dreams come true.
